Thermphos participated actively to the Desalination for the Environment conferences held by the European Desalination Society in Baden-Baden in May 2009.
The Reverse Osmosis group of Dequest was present and gave a presentation in association with Larnaca Desalination Plant//IDE (Cyprus) on how best handle boron removal.
As other critical items in Reverse Osmosis, effective boron removal depends on a comprehensive understanding of the key parameters and on their controls. The influences of these parameters on scale formation and scale inhibitors performances is especially required to optimize plant operations and maximize performance. The presentation given in Baden-Baden demonstrated how operations can be optimized and smoothened by a comprehensive approach in collaboration with the customers.
